Submission to Change is a rock band formed in 1991 featuring the vocals and lyrics of actress and singer Cree Summer. The band signed a contract with the Capitol record label and recorded one album, Womb Amnesia . This album is a rock funk fusion album that reflects the popular grunge of the day. It features intense feminist lyrics and spawns the song "Soul Sister," which Lenny Kravitz and Summer will re-recorded for his 1999 debut solo album Street Street. Due to a major power shift on labels, albums are only available in limited commercial releases and never promoted. Only a few thousand copies are sent to the public, and they are considered collector's goods.
