The take-home final is a test at the end of an academic term that is usually too long or complicated to complete in one session as a final in the class. There is usually a deadline for completion, as in a week or two at the end of the term. The take-home final is different from the final paper, often involving research, extended text and data display.
Schedule
In some cases, the school will run on a modified schedule for the final exam to allow the student more time for the exam. However, this is not necessarily the case for every institution.
