The final end , annual , exams , "final interview" or end are tests given to students at the end of the program study or training. Although the term can be used in the context of physical training, it is most common in the academic world. Most high schools, colleges and universities run the final exam at the end of a particular academic term, usually quarter or semester, or more traditional at the end of a full degree course.

Isolated purpose and common practice
The purpose of the test is to make a final review of the topics covered and assess each student's knowledge of the subject. Final is technically just a larger form of "unit test". They have the same goal, the final is bigger. Not all courses or curriculum end in the final exam; the instructor can assign a paper or final project in some programs. The final exam weights also vary. This may be the largest - or only - factor in the grade grade of the student; in other cases, may carry the same weight as a midterm exam, or students may be released. However, not all final must be cumulative, as some cover only the material presented since the last test. For example, a microbiology course may only include mushrooms and parasites on the final exam if this is a professor's policy, and all other subjects presented in the course will not be tested on the final exam.
Prior to the examination period, most students in the Commonwealth had about a week of revision and intensive study known as swotvac.
In the UK, most universities hold a set of "Final" at the end of the entire degree course. In Australia, exam periods vary, with high schools typically assigning one or two weeks to final exams, but university periods - sometimes called "week exams" or just "exams" - can stretch for up to three weeks.
The practice varies greatly in the United States; The "final" or "final period" at the university level is two or three weeks after the end of the academic year, but sometimes the exam is done in the last week of teaching. Some institutions establish a "study week" or "reading period" between the end of the instruction and the final beginning, where no checks can be performed. Students in many institutions know the week before the final as "a dead week." Most final exams incorporate the prescribed reading material during that time period.
Although common in French tertiary institutions, final exams are not often assigned in French high schools. However, French high school students hoping to continue their studies at university level will take the national exam, known as BaccalaurÃÆ'à © at.
In some countries and locales holding standardized tests, it is common for schools to manage artificial examination , by formatting the actual test format. Students from different schools are often seen exchanging artificial papers as a test preparation tool.

Final home take it
The take-home final is a test at the end of an academic term that is usually too long or complicated to complete in one session as a final in the class. There is usually a deadline for completion, as in a week or two at the end of the term. The take-home final is different from the final paper, often involving research, extended text and data display.
Schedule
In some cases, the school will run on a modified schedule for the final exam to allow the student more time for the exam. However, this is not necessarily the case for every institution.
