Telangana Secondary Education Council (Telugu: ???????????????????????? ) abbreviated TSBIE, is Board of Education in Telangana, India. It was established in 2014. It is located in Nampally, Hyderabad.

This Council regulates and supervises the secondary education system at Telangana State. It executes and regulates activities including designing courses, formulating syllabi, conducting examinations, providing affiliation to universities and, providing direction, support and leadership for all educational institutions under its jurisdiction.

Distinguished Secretary of State for Secondary Education acted as chairman and secretary for Government, Secondary Education as deputy chairman of the council. Secretary of I.A.S. Rank is acting as chief executive of the council.

Secondary education goals and targets

  • To make secondary education accessible to all sections of society.
  • To give special emphasis on Rural, Tribal, Social under a special section of society.
  • To strengthen Girls Education by increasing their enrollment in the College.
  • To monitor and supervise all junior colleges in the state.
  • To set up the School of Personal Assistance functions to optimize the use of Grant Grants in help.
  • To provide quality education even to remote villages through Tele-Education through Mana TV.
  • To make Education a tool of social and economic emancipation through Vocationalization of Education.
  • Shifting the focus from academia to marketable skills, introducing professional and specialized courses in emerging fields such as Computer Science, Graphics, and Tourism etc.
  • Bring vocational education to center-stage and to train students in practical skills and problem solving.
  • Develop infrastructure to facilitate education for disadvantaged groups in remote and remote areas.

Examination is one of the most important functions of the board. Each year a large number of students appear in Telangana Intermediate Examination for the first year (SMP)/Class 11 and Class 2 (Senior) Class 12 under two courses - Regular & Vocational. Every year, TS Intermediate Examination must be conducted in March/April

Telangana Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examination (IPASE) issues a schedule for additional board exams for students who wish to take their final exams if they fail or they want to increase the annual test score. Pattern

The Medium Public Examination is being conducted since 1978-79 both at the end of the first year course and at the end of the 2nd year course. Previous Public Exam is only at the end of year 2. The candidates are examined in Section I-English, Part II of the Second Language and Part-III Subject Group for 500 marks in the first year and 500 marks in the 2nd year in the Arts Group, 475 marks in the HEG group and 470 marks in the first year and 530 marks in the 2nd year in the MPC group, and 440 marks in the first year and 560 marks in the 2nd year for the Bi.PC group. The percentage of pass marks in each paper is 35. The division in which the candidate is placed is decided on the basis of their graduation of all papers in the first year and in the 2nd year.

Syllabus

The Council of Secondary Education, Telangana, Hyderabad offers many academic programs. With a view to providing a greater boost to the academic aspect of the council, a separate academic wing called "Research Education and Training Wing" was created. The council enjoys the prerogative right to prescribe Intermediate two-year textbooks.

The board offers the following subjects

  • Part I - English;
  • Part II - Second Language (Telugu, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, Arabic, French, Tamil, Kannada, Oriya, and Marathi);

Part III - Optional Subject (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Trade, Economics, Citizenship, History, Psychology, Public Administration, Logic, Sociology, Geography and Geology);

  • Modern Language Subjects (English, Telugu, Hindi, and Urdu

).

The syllabus of language and elective subjects is prepared by the involved Subject Committee set up by the Council. The committees also revised the syllabus and its reforms to keep current changes and trends in view.
