General Certificate of International Secondary Education ( IGCSE ) is an English curriculum offered to students to prepare them for International Baccalaureate, A Level and BTEC Level 3 (recommended for higher level students high). It is based on GCE O-Level and is recognized equivalent to GCSE. IGCSE was developed by the University of Cambridge International Examinations. Edexcel's inspection board offers its own version, GCSE International Edexcel. Students start learning syllabus at the beginning of year 10 (Class 9) and take the test at the end of year 11 (Class 10).
IGCSE is an international alternative to many popular national curricula. IGCSE is not a group award or an "education certificate". This is a qualification based on individual subjects, which means that a person receives an "IGCSE" qualification for each subject taken. For this reason, schools around the world have different expectations about how many students IGCSEs should take. A typical "core" curriculum for IGCSE candidates includes First Language, Second Language, Math and one or more subjects in Science. Attendance
IGCSE is often considered more similar to the O-Level qualification that is older than the current GCSE in the UK, and for this reason it is often argued to be a more rigorous and more difficult examination. To date, most schools offering IGCSE are private International Schools for expatriate children worldwide. However, more and more independent schools in the UK now also offer IGCSE as an alternative to conventional British GCSE for international IGCSE subjects on the assumption that it is more challenging than the national curriculum.
In addition, some public schools in the United States are also the center of Cambridge examination. Currently, 11 such centers exist in the US, offering the CIE IGCSE curriculum. Grading, courseload, and grant
The IGCSE is scored on an 8-point scale from A * to G with "U" grade 9 indicating "Not rated". This assessment measure is also found in the UK GCSE. ICE is awarded in three classes: Distinction, Merit and Pass. 2 feeds are in Language, and one feed in each other while the seventh subject is in any group to qualify for the award.

Recognition and equality
Qualifications are recognized by institutions in the world. Many students who completed the IGCSE moved into post-16 studies, in preparation for exams such as A-Levels. or directly to vocational education.
United Kingdom
IGCSE recognition and accreditation in the UK is growing. Until now, only independent schools can easily offer IGCSE subjects, although the Office of Qualification and Examination Rules (Ofqual) allows more use of IGCSE subjects in state-funded schools. Ofqual allows the use of the Cambridge IGCSE exam under the name "Cambridge International Certificates".
So far, 16 Cambridge IGCSE syllabus received accredited British government. Thereafter, the British government announced that 16 accredited Cambridge IGCSE syllabuses would also be funded in state-run schools. Since then Cambridge IGCSE Germany and Spain have also been accredited and funded, taking the total number of Cambridge IGCSEs accredited and funded to 18. Singapore
The IGCSE board is mainly used in international schools such as UWCSEA, Tanglin Trust School and several others as an alternative to local 'O'Level Exam'.
Exam
The IGCSE exams are conducted in February (India only), May and October each year, exam papers are sent to the UK to be marked and the results will be out in May, August and January. There are exam fees of Ã, Â £ 80 for each written exam, these fees may vary depending on the country where the test was taken.
Controversy
The council has been criticized because both are too difficult, as programs such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology allegedly require more time and effort than other comparable courses, or too soft, thanks to the tendency of exam boards to bind tests.
